14 June | 4:00 PM and 5:30 PM
Roman baths were far more than places devoted to hygiene: they were among the most important spaces of everyday Roman life, where well-being, social interaction and culture came together.
During this thematic session, held in Room XVII, visitors will explore the role of baths in Roman society and learn about the history of the Thermae Pentascinenses, the large thermal complex discovered in Taranto between 1895 and 1896 in the area now bounded by Via Duca di Genova, Via Mazzini and Via Duca degli Abruzzi.
Free activity included with museum admission.
No reservation required.
